i.am Angel Foundation Teams Up with VING to Help Teens Give Back
This holiday season, the i.am Angel Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with VING as a way to give back to those most in need.
The VING project is a unique effort. It challenges young people, ages 14-18, to nominate someone worthy in their community, someone who needs a boost and a financial leg-up, via a simple application process. If the candidate meets VING’s qualifications, that teen is given a $1,000 check to then present to their targeted recipient. No strings attached.
So far VING has paid out close to $1 million in individual $1,000 gifts and grants made with the help of teenagers who have spotted deserving and worthy individuals in their communities.
This year, VING is expanding its ongoing nation-wide initiative by partnering with the i.am Angel Foundation. This alliance aims to further encourage a new generation to focus on the benefits of giving. Specifically, VING is enlisting the prospective teenage philanthropists, who are enrolled in i.am Angel Foundation STEAM-education focused academic and college scholarship programs, to spread the rewards about no-obligations generosity.
