Hack for L.A. 2014 at Los Angeles City Hall

On May 31 – June 1, 2014, i.am Angel Foundation helped organize the first ever hackathon to take place at Los Angeles City Hall, in partnership with the L.A. Mayor’s Office. Hack for L.A. brings together coders, software developers, activists and students to help solve the city’s biggest challenges using technology. Over 700 participants, including middle and high school students from all across Los Angeles, collaborated on innovative app ideas to improve employment, education, public safety, and other civic issues.
